Role: Customer Success Associate

McKay came to Threshold as an intern in the summer of 2022. Upon graduating from the University of Georgia, she joined our HQ team as a Customer Success Associate, tasked with the mission to become the best customer success organization in the industry. Let’s get to know McKay!
If you could sum up your job in one word, what would you say?
If I could sum up my job in one word, it would be engaging. Whether it’s collaborating with our customers on innovative ways to utilize our platform or working with our team to create new ways to provide value to our customers, I have the amazing opportunity to engage with so many people through my position as Customer Success Associate here at Threshold 360. The communication and relationship-building aspects of my position are my absolute favorite part of what I do.
In the time you’ve been with Threshold360, what would you consider your biggest accomplishment so far?
My biggest accomplishment so far with Threshold 360 is the growth I’ve seen in myself and my career over the last year. With this being my first full-time position after graduating from the University of Georgia in December 2022, it has been a big year for growth and development. I credit a big part of this to our team for always pushing me outside my comfort zone and striving to deliver the utmost value to our customers in new and creative ways.
Who are your 2 favorite customers, and why?
It’s so hard to pick out my favorite two customers when each of them is so different. I enjoy working with all of our customers on the best ways for them to utilize their virtual tours. To me, our best customers are the ones who push themselves to find innovative ways to integrate our tours within their everyday work. I love seeing customers fully adopt our platform and get excited by new features while finding creative ways to use them. We learn a lot from our customers daily, and I hope to continue helping each one of them receive the most value from our platform as possible, given their wants and needs. One of my favorite projects was one by Visit Lake Tahoe where they had the same locations captured in different seasons to show what spring and winter look like in Lake Tahoe (explore Camp Richardson in the winter and spring below).
What is your favorite thing about working at Threshold 360?
My favorite part about working at Threshold 360 is getting to connect with each and every member of our team. With a smaller size team, I have the opportunity to collaborate closely with other teams within our organization on a variety of projects.
What do you do when you aren’t working?
When I’m not working my favorite things to do are to spend time with my family and friends or learn new recipes. I love to cook so I spend a lot of time in my kitchen learning to make new dishes. When I was in college, my roommate and I had a social media account dedicated to all the dinners we’d cook together, which made cooking even that much more fun!
What is a fun fact about yourself that even your teammates don’t know about?
A fun fact about me that I think most of my teammates don’t know is that my first name is Eleanor. McKay is my middle name which I have been going by since I was born, but my official first name is actually Eleanor. I was named after my great-grandmother, who lived to be 104 years old, so I hope to follow in her footsteps!
Is there a song that you sing every word by hear when it plays (and nobody is around)?
I am a huge country music fan! I have country music playing anytime I’m at home or in my car so any country song I most likely know the words to. I recently went to an Eric Church concert here in Tampa and loved hearing all of his older songs live.
How many times a day do people address you as Craig?
This question brought a smile to my face. I’m often addressed as Craig (my last name) via email, which always makes me laugh. With a name like mine, with a last name as a first name, people often read my name backward as Craig McKay. After deep diving into my email settings and resetting my email signature, I realized I would forever be mistaken for Craig McKay. To everyone who has addressed me as Craig, you’ve helped facilitate a great company-wide inside joke, so I thank you.
